Only 3 days left, but LOTS of wonderful memories!

I can't believe that we only have 3 days left of school this year! It has been a wonderful year! As we wrap things up this week, my new technology teacher :) (Michele Brantley) otherwise know in our room as Joshua's mom has been a busy bee! She graciously created a precious DVD of our class this year! The pictures and music are great! The children and I watched it and I am working on making a copy for every student to have as a keepsake! So be watching for that to come home this week. Not only did she create the DVD she also made a class photobook that contains tons of pictures of our class only. It is adorable and if your children are like mine, they LOVE to look at previous class photobooks, yearbooks, etc. Michele said I could share it with you all in case you wanted to order one for your child. If you do want to order one there are two PROMO codes that you will want to use. sweet40 - is 40% off on photobooks until 5/26, and ship30 - is free shipping on >$30 orders. I placed my order tonight and the total was $30.35. I can't wait to get it!! Thank you Michele for creating such special keepsakes for our children to enjoy for years to come!

Michele also taught me how to download all my class photos to shutterfly so if there was a specific picture of your child that you wanted to order or if you just wanted to see all the pictures again from this year you can access them here:

http://mrswrightsfirstgrade.shutterfly.com/pictures

(You will have to cut & paste the above link into your browser, I can't get it to go straight to the website when you click on it on the page. Sorry.)Also it will take you to the photobook then after you view it you can click on the pictures tab at the top of the page and it will show you all the albums I have created this year. It's really neat!

This is also the site you go to if you want to order a photobook. Let me know what you think! I think I am going to use Shutterfly next year on my blog so parents can see it on the blog but can also go to Shutterfly and view order if they want. If anyone else has any blogging tips or photo editing, storing, etc. Let me know. I am always interested in changing things that would make it easier for myself and the parents!

By the way, I finally got a new camera! The one I have been talking about for the most part of this school year! It was a fun surprise!!

We are going to have a great time this week! As a child I always loved the last days of school, and as a teacher I still do. I am looking forward to spending these last three days with the children, we will have a great time and create more first grade memories!

Your children are so very special to me, I have truly enjoyed each of them.

It is still hard to believe there are only 8 days left in first grade. I come to this time of year with mixed emotions. I, like the children, are ready for a break. On the other hand, I will miss the routine of our school day (sorta of-ha!) and I will miss seeing all the little faces of those I've come to love. It's always amazing to think about how far we've come since the beginning of the year. They have worked so hard and I feel confident that they are ready for new challenges in second grade. I'm so proud of them. And to you parents, without the support you show at home they wouldn't be where they are now! Thank you so very much!!

Wow, hard to believe there are only 13 days left. Oh how I am going to miss all these precious children. I think the end of school years are just a little bittersweet. Looking back as to how much progress all of the children have made is just amazing! Sending them to second grade with a solid foundation knowing they are ready for whatever will come their way makes me so proud of them.
